A new project to increase the number of women in key decision-making roles within the Paralympic Movement was launched at the Austrian National Paralympic Committee’s Women in Sport Leadership Summit in Vienna, Austria in May 2014. The Agitos Foundation's WoMentoring Program is dedicated towards helping the Movement achieve its aim of 30 per cent of women in leadership roles. 16 mentees and 16 mentors from over 20 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Member Organisations, amongst others, gathered in Vienna from 8-10 May at the Kick-Off Event.
Sarah is thrilled to be acting as one of the mentors on the program and is looking forward to an 18-month relationship with her mentee, Marge Korkas from Estonia, a four time paralympian swimmer now coach.
