Participant coaches from the NSCAA Master Coach course graduated last week in Baltimore, MD at the National Soccer Coaches Conference, the largest soccer coaching conference in the world.
The NSCAA MASTER COACH DIPLOMA/UD MASTER COACH CERTIFICATE was created and designed to meet the needs of of elite level coaches. It consists of a:
week-long residential course that includes on-field sessions, classroom lectures, group projects and presentations
a 13 week online component consisting of lectures, discussions and reading assignments
a one-week apprenticeship at an NSCAA approved location
and with the guidance of NSCAA approved mentor the development and implementation of a required comprehensive project that will contribute to coaches professional growth.
Sarah was delighted to mentor Lucky Dodds, Luis Swisher, Jimmy Wallace and Kevin Unsworth and support them to apply their new learning back in their own coaching spaces. Two focused on creating a mental skills training program for their boys squads, one created a player mentoring program and the other a coach and player development program in Guatemala. All committed significant time and energy to drive change with their players and coaches, great impact stories.
Dr Mat Robinson (programme director at UD) and Ian Barker (Director of Coaching Education at the NSCAA) led the graduation ceremony.
