UK Elite Soccer coaches consider the how-to coach skills as part of their coach orientation

UK Elite Soccer, one of the biggest soccer coaching providers in the USA welcomed over 60 coaches to Purnell High School in NJ as part of the summer coaching orientation program.

The aim of the orientation was to introduce coaches to the soccer curriculum to ensure they are capable and confident of supporting high quality coaching programs across the US this summer.

e.t.c were delighted to be asked to attend the program and facilitate a workshop. Thinking and practice focused not on the technical and tactical elements or the what-to coach skills but on the how-to coach skills, a critical component of high quality coaching.

Coaches were challenged to identify what excellent coaching practice is and does and then asked to practice some of these skills using their peers and players.

e.t.c wishes all UKE coaches good luck this summer.
