The 11th cohort of the ICECP program, an international coach development program, jointly delivered by the University of Delaware and the US Olympic Committee, is up and running! And I am delighted to be part of it for the 8th year!
Adopting a slightly different format to previous years the ICECP has moved towards a truly blended approach to learning mixing on-line learning (hosted through the University of Delaware's Canvas platform) with in-person workshops (hosted at the Olympic Training Center at Colorado Springs) and a work-based project. The latter offers performance coaches from across the globe and across sports the opportunity to apply their learning through the delivery of a work-based project.
I am delighted to be supporting four coaches to create and deliver coach education programs to enhance the quality of coaching and athletics performance in their home countries. Nair from Pakistan, Khusi from Bangladesh, Kat from the Solomon Islands and Hercules from Guyana are all seeking to enhance the global coaching agenda and I couldn't be prouder of their ambitions.
I am equally as delighted to be part of the ICECP tutor family and treasure the time spent with colleagues and now dear friends.
